I am Lukas Flott, musician with all of my heart, artist and currently master student at the Conservatory Maastricht.

My musical identity is based in the world of Jazz and Pop music, but lives without borders combining more colourful harmony with easy to listen to melodies and reaches into all genres that can offer interesting and new sounds to extend my musical palette.

As a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist recording and producing my own music I have always loved acoustic and jazz influenced pop music and listened to a lot of music from artists like Jamie Cullum, John Legend, Frank McComb and Brian McKnight to name a few. Especially the music of Jamie Cullum had an enormous impact on my life: in the 2010s he conquered the world with a blend of approachable vocal songs and virtuous Piano solos which was a novelty to me in this decade. Thus, a few of his productions will be the subject of my research. However, as time goes by and technology advances, there are more possibilities and different relevant aspects when it comes to music production. Therefore, I will include one more major influence of mine, Jacob Collier. In my eyes he is one of the most remarkable artists of our days making use of new possibilities modern digital audio workstations can provide us with innovatively.
